Green

Springtime in Washington, DC, is vibrantly green. Trees, grass, shrubs, and bushes abound, and after a spring rain storm, their green foliage turns to a vivid, almost fluorescent green.

I've been immersing myself in the color lately.  On bike rides and long walks, out and about doing errands, even working on my computer at the dining room table, I'm covered in green and I love it.

There's my aloe plant, which started as a little sprout a few years ago and, since being transplanted to this larger pot about nine months ago has grown to a wild Medusa.

Then there's the little green notebook my dad gave me for Christmas last year, in which I've been keeping a food diary.  I keep it next to my computer on the dining room table.

Check out all the lovely shades of green in these trees and shrubberies in my neighborhood.

And last but not least, a view of the National Mall/downtown area and several rows of graves, as seen from the hilltop in Arlington National Cemetery. So much green!

Wonderful, I love the color. Right now the gardens are awesome. Brings me much peace.

I can't agree more. It is quite a calming feeling to be surrounded by lots of verdant things! Even if Kermit thinks it's not easy to be green, I certainly appreciate it!
