Back to Blogging

Hello Friends,

I've been remiss with my blogging this summer, as some of you have recently pointed out to me. It's nice to know I have fans, and that they are interested enough to notice when I don't post for awhile.

It's been an eventful summer!  After the thrill of Bike MS, I went to visit family in Utah for a week.  When I came back in mid-June, I wrapped things up at my (old) job and started a new job at the beginning of July, which I'm really enjoying.  (Don't worry if you can't keep track of my many career moves.  I can barely keep track of them all myself.)

In the middle of July, I went to New York City for Angie's baby shower.  It was a whirlwind weekend, full of flowers, food, and seeing friends--Angie (of course), and other friends who now live there.  Angie was glowing with her baby bump and I was so happy to be able to celebrate with her.  She will be a fantastic mother.

I'd no sooner gotten back from New York then I went on vacation to North Dakota, where I was awed by prairies, grasslands, and the expansive beauty and wildlife of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip short when my sore throat developed into tonsillitis, necessitating a trip to the emergency room in the next town over because I could no longer swallow.  It wasn't pretty.  It also left me without a voice for the next week.

All that activity notwithstanding, the real reason I haven't blogged since June is that, shortly after I got back from Utah, I started dating this wonderful man!

My entire life has been thrown off-course by meeting this man--but oh! what a magnificent alternate route it is!  All those books I was going to read this summer are still stacked by the bed, unopened.  My grand cycling plans of riding more than ever are still just plans.  The files I was going to organize and closets I was going to clean out are still as helter-skelter as they were when I started to organize and clean at the end of May.

And yet, my un-done "to do" list doesn't bother me right now.  How could I be bothered by anything so trivial when I have this kind-hearted man in my life?  He's intelligent and caring and attractive and personable and funny--and he adores me.  What could be better than that?  Nothing!

Ahh, blissful love!

What can I say?  Being in-love is more fun than blogging.  (But I will try to blog more going forward. Maybe.)

good to see you back again-but then i say that to all all the girls.
Hope the man in your life realises HE is the lucky one-and i DON'T say that to all the girls. I too have a stack of books to read by my bedside too-just too lazy to start reading-maybe next week...
