Crazy Things I Want to Do Before I Die

One of my favorite Pinterest pinners is a personal trainer who puts up a steady stream of motivational quotes.  Themes include persistence, consistency, and never giving up on your dreams.  I have to admit that there have been many times in the past 9+ months that I didn't know what my dreams were anymore, or I thought they were so outlandish that they weren't really dreams in the achievable sense--they were just clouds in the sky, day dreams, Disney-esque fantasies like those we have as children.

Then one day I realized that is exactly what dreams are, and that just because they are fantastical doesn't mean I shouldn't believe they can happen.  After all, when I was in elementary school, I loved watching TV so much that I used to fantasize about a personal TV that I could carry with me to school to watch during recess or as I walked home.  Now we have smart phones and iPads that allow us to do just that and more.  I didn't invent those devices, but someone else shared my dream and made it a reality.  Pretty cool, eh?

With that rather lengthy preamble, here, in no particular order, are a few crazy things I'd like to do before I die.

1.  Marry a Brit.  (I'd also settle for a nice man with a beard who can do a passable impression of Captain Picard.)
2.  Live in a castle.
3.  Be a published author.
4.  Ride my bike across the United States.
5.  See the northern lights.
6.  Learn at least a few words in every language.
7.  Work for an organization that does good in the world and whose mission I truly care about.

I may not ever do any of these things or even have control over whether they come to pass, but I lose nothing by putting my dream list out into the universe.  It's like blowing fluffy dandelion seeds into the wind as I make a wish for the future.

What's on your crazy dream list?

"Engage" -if you brought me with you on the cycle and wrote a book about it you could call it "Let's see what's out there" as that's how i start every morning's cycle. Or even "Are We There Yet" as I'd be saying that several times a day, every day...
