Snow Update #2: Venturing Out!

Early afternoon today I decided to venture out of the house and walk to the grocery store across the street for a few supplies for tomorrow's dinner. Jenny needed some things too, so I treked to her house and then together we waded through the snow to the store. After just a few minutes outside, my hair was covered in flakes and little icicles. It was chilly but invigorating!

Here I am all bundled, with snow powder in my hair. You can see how high some of the snow drifts were by the dusting of white on my jeans.

On the way to Jenny's I spotted these festive, hearty little bushes. Their vibrant colors are a spectacular contrast to the white and gray that's enveloped us all day.

After the grocery store we walked over to James and Lauren's house (also in our neighborhood) for an impromptu Christmas fete. (Well, it was impromptu for me; Jenny knew about it earlier today.) This shot of Jenny's cute Wellingtons in their parking lots gives you an idea of how much snow we got. Their lot hadn't been plowed and I swear the snow came up to our knees!

My own feet in the same lot.

Check out the cute hat Jenny loaned me for the walk to James and Lauren's. It kept the snow off my hair and out of my eyes too!
