Can you handle another beautiful scene out the window when you wake up in the morning? If not--if scenery just isn't your thing--New Zealand isn't the place for you, 'cause it's got gorgeous scenery everywhere you look. This particular shot was snatched this morning before breakfast outside our B&B in the seaside town of Kaikoura, on the eastern coast of the South Island. We were scheduled to go snorkeling with fur seals this morning but it was so windy and the water consequently so choppy that it was called off, though not before we'd struggled into wet suits and trekked out to the designated cove in them. No matter, it was still a beautiful day. I'm going to miss this place! I already have a long list of "next time" activities and places. |
