Sunset in Paradise

This is it, friends. I've run out of adjectives to describe how magnificently beautiful this place is. The variety and lushness (if that's a word) and abundance of vegetation continue to amaze me. On our hike yesterday, Amanda and I spotted and named at least three new kinds of moss or fern, and Michael (solo traveler from Cyprus) discovered a strange purple mushroom growing on a fallen log in the path that Nick (one of our intrepid guides) dubbed snail mushroom because Michael initially thought it was a snail. I wonder if it's feasible to have a moss and fern terrarium in my house when I get back home.

Oh wait, I'm not going back! This place is too magnificent!

Enjoy this view of last night's perfect sunset in Punakaiki.
