View from the Top

We got spectacular views of Auckland, the harbor, and the volcanic islands in the bay from the top of the Sky Tower in downtown Auckland. The three black lines running vertically through the view are used by base jumpers, who jump from near the top of the tower attached to a harness that slows them down just before they splat on the ground. The Sky Tower is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere at over 300 metres.
